Committees

The Chamber creates and organizes committees, made up of members who volunteer their time, to advance the organization’s core mission.

Communications Committee

Chair: Terrie Glover Ard, Moore Consulting Group

Develops marketing & communications strategies to keep the Chamber’s members informed and engaged, support the Chamber’s programs, as well as attract new members

Finance

Treasurer: John Medina, Greenways of America

Creates and oversees strong, short and long-term financial plans for the Chamber

Funding

Chair: Ron Sachs, Ron Sachs Communications

Explores ways to fund the Chamber through non-dues revenues to allow the Chamber to offer the best variety of programs, resources, tools and opportunities for its members

Growth Management & Infrastructure Committee

Chair: Mark Llewellyn, Genesis Group

Communicates with City & County Growth Management Departments to improve the process, provide input on Land Development Regulations and track functional consolidation of local Growth Management Departments. The committee also works with members on issues, concerns or challenges encountered with these departments

Government Affairs Committee

Chair: Ben Wilkinson, Tallahassee Land Company

Identifies issues that affect local businesses and formulates positions and platforms endorsed and supported by the Chamber, the committee brings the voice of business to the halls of local government at the commission and staff levels

Membership Advancement Committee

Chair: Michael Campbell, Trusteria.com
Vice Chair: Beth Corum, Capital City Bank

Develops and executes plans to recruit new members to the Chamber. Explores ways to engage the Chamber’s newest members to get them involved during the critical first three years of membership

Small Business Resources Committee

Chair: April Salter, Salter>Mitchell

Strategizes on ways to increase small business participation in the Chamber, and knit together existing resources available in the community to help members be more successful

State Government Task Force

Co-Chair: Chris Dudley, Southern Strategy Group
Co-Chair: Barbara Ray, Bryant Miller Olive, P.A.

Coordinates actions of local business community and state government to ensure a vibrant business sector in the region
