Board of Directors Committees

The Chamber creates and organizes committees, made up of members who volunteer their time, to advance the organization’s core mission.

Business Advocacy Committee

Chair: Reggie Bouthillier | Stearns Weaver Miller Weisller Alhadeff & Sitterson, P.A. Monitor – Monitor public policy, growth management and government targeted objectives/issues that impact the Chamber membership at the local, state and federal levels. Inform – Inform the Chamber membership regarding important identified topics utilizing a variety of membership communication channels. Engage – Engage a formalized Business to Government communication process. Advocate – Advocate Chamber positions and provide guidance to Chamber membership regarding advocacy engagement for identified topics.

Communications Committee

Chair: Heidi Otway, Salter>Mitchell Develops marketing & communications strategies to keep the Chamber’s members informed and engaged, support the Chamber’s programs, as well as attract new members

Diversity & Inclusion Committee

Chair: Kimberly Crowell | Kalo Restaurant Group Assists in the development of plans, strategies and initiatives to encourage increased diversity in the membership and involvement in chamber by diverse individuals. The Committee defines diversity from a broad perspective, which includes all protected classes, as well as diversity in regard to institutional type, size and employment position.

Governance Committee

Chair: Mike Roberts | Roberts Sand Co. Provides for the board’s effectiveness and continuing development by reviewing the bylaws; evaluating board/committee structure and governing processes; designing and a recruitment matrix; conducting board evaluations and designing an orientation for new and existing board members.

Membership Committee

Chair: Terrie Glover Ard, Moore Communications Group Support both the membership recruitment and membership retention/engagement efforts and help strengthen consistent membership messaging.

Trends & Transformations Committee

Chair: Ron Sachs, Sachs Media Group Focusing on understanding our market and applying out-of-the-box thinking to find innovative ways to support our members’ needs.
