Learn to Turn – A Kick Start To Woodturning

Woodturning is one of the fastest growing craft hobbies. Why? Because it is fun and rewarding when you walk away with something you have made with your own hands.
In this workshop you will learn basic woodturning skills with Master Turner, Walt Wager, as you make a beautiful wood bowl. No experience is necessary.
The workshop will introduce you to the safe operation of one of our state-of-the-art wood lathes, general safety issues, mounting wood on the lathe and using state-of-the-art carbide wood turning tools. It also includes the skills of face grain turning, shaping, hollowing and applying a finish to a small bowl.
Please wear shoes that cover your toes and bring a sack lunch. It’s a creative and fun class!
All materials and tools are included in the fee.
