The Pyramid Players present "The Great Diamond Caper"

On Saturday, August 16, The Pyramid Players will present “The Great Diamond Caper,” an original musical mystery, at The Moon, 1105 E. Lafayette Street.
“The Great Diamond Caper” is the 13th annual big stage performance for The Players and is the crown jewel of Pyramid’s unique visual and performing arts program. The performers are adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities whose true abilities shine through on stage.
“The Great Diamond Caper” is an original musical “whodunit” mystery, 1930’s film noir style, where you’ll witness the antics of Detective Vick Lacy (played by veteran Player James Ueberhorst), who is trying to solve the mystery of a missing famous diamond, stolen by a gang of hooligans led by Albert “The Boss” Alleyway (played by newcomer Daryl Peters). Fast-paced and comically charged, audience members will delight in the twists and turns the great detective must endure in order to close the case.
The doors open at 5:00 p.m. for an exhibit of the finest art and handcrafted jewelry from Pyramid’s six fine arts centers around the state. The artwork will be available for purchase and light refreshments will be served. Those arriving between 5 and 6 p.m. will be given “seat savers” so they can feel free to browse. At 6:15 p.m., the Pyramid Rock Band will provide pre-show entertainment. Curtain is at 7 p.m.
Admission is free, but donations are gratefully accepted.
