				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>TALLAHASSEE, Fla. &#8212; May 16, 2013 &#8212; Taproot Creative, a Florida-based integrated marketing firm, today announced a new addition to its public relations strategy team. Sandi Copes Poreda, APR, joins the agency to focus on communications strategy, specifically crisis management. Poreda brings with her nearly a decade of communications experience with the State of Florida.</p>
<p>“Following our acquisition of an international research firm in 2012 and recent expansion into cross-cultural marketing, Sandi’s addition marks another significant milestone in the growth of our business,” said Sean Doughtie, president and CEO of Taproot Creative. “Her experience and expertise add breadth to our services and will no doubt prove to be invaluable to our clients.”</p>
<p>As a senior public relations specialist, Poreda will focus on further developing the company’s public relations services, including a variety of crisis communications options. She will also assist in new business development.</p>
<p>Prior to joining Taproot Creative, Poreda served the State of Florida for nearly a decade in various capacities, including as communications director for the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) and for the Florida Attorney General’s Office. She possesses in-depth experience providing counsel on communication strategies, public relations and crisis management.</p>
<p>In addition to her public service experience, Poreda has worked on and with political campaigns, including several statewide races. A nationally accredited public relations professional, she also currently serves as the president-elect for the Capital Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association.</p>

<p>The Big Vote is a promotion to increase awareness about local nonprofit organizations and the good work they do.  From May 13 &#8211; May 24, go to FindLearnGive.org and vote for your favorite local nonprofit.  The ten charities receiving the most votes will be eligible to win 1 of 5 $2,000 grants awarded by the Community Foundation. The online poll is located on <a href="http://www.FindLearnGive.org">FindLearnGive.org</a>.</p>
<p>FindLearnGive.org is an initiative of the Community Foundation of North Florida funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and the grant dollars are from the Ethel and Edwin Ramsey Fund.</p>
