Learn spoon making from a Master Carver, Maverick Jaillet. Making spoons and other kitchen utensils is a great introduction to woodworking, as well as a new craft for seasoned woodworkers. Maverick will teach you shop safety, wood selection, carving techniques and sanding and finishing. We will apply a food safe finish to your creation, making it a
functional utensil and an aesthetically pleasing art piece that you will want
to show all of your friends. All wood, tools and personal safety gear (ear and eye protection, gloves, dust masks etc.) will be provided. Please wear shoes that cover your toes and bring a sack lunch. You’ll be amazed with the end result!
