In June, Dr. Sue Ebbers interviewed numerous key performers at a large Florida non-profit to gain insight and perspective on new staff deficiencies. Minimal or a complete lack of business acumen was one of eleven key cultural competency issues the team targeted for improvement. The first step to address this escalating problem included building a turnkey eLearning storyboard so that internal staff could implement within their systems. Now it is on to phase 2: building a framework for a journey-based curriculum. Why I joined the Chamber
“When Earl Bacon founded his own insurance agency in 1963, one of the first things he did was join the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce. Our commitment to local economic development has not wavered in the 55 years since. The Chamber’s great programs – the Professional Women’s Forum, the CEO Series, the Annual Conference, and others – are the best way to interact with other local business owners and keep abreast of what is happening in the local community.”
