Leon County Citizen Engagement Series on EMS Set for Thursday Registration for EMS session closes Tuesday

Leon County will hold its third session of the Citizen Engagement Series on Thursday, May 31, at 6 p.m., at the Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross facility, located at 1115 Easterwood Drive and adjacent to the future site of the Public Safety Complex.
The session offers citizens a stimulating and interactive forum that highlights the operations and services of the community’s award-winning Leon County Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Activities during the session will range from Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training to the demonstration of trauma response.
The series, which was introduced by County Administrator Vincent S. Long and approved by the Board of County Commissioners in August 2011 as part of Leon County’s “People Focused, Performance Driven” culture, offers citizens the chance to gain greater insight into County government operations and engages them in various issues facing the community.
The Citizen Engagement Series is open to all Leon County residents.
