The Prudential – Davis Productivity Awards program is a major government improvement initiative founded and sponsored by Florida TaxWatch, and co-sponsored by The Florida Council of 100 and the state of Florida. “One thing that makes this program special is that it is unique,” explained Florida TaxWatch President and CEO, Dominic M. Calabro. “There is really nothing comparable to this in any other state.”
Now celebrating its 25th Anniversary, the program recognizes and rewards state employees who clearly exceed their job descriptions and performance expectations in ways that improve service delivery and save money for Florida taxpayers. Since 1989, thousands of individuals, teams, work units and partnerships have been honored for producing $8.1 billion worth of added value.
Over 274 awards will be presented during the statewide ceremonies beginning June 5 with the 25th Anniversary awards dinner at the University Center Club at Florida State University in Tallahassee, followed by regional awards luncheons in Jacksonville, June 17; Orlando, June 18; Miami, June 19; and Tampa, June 20 to several thousand state employees, individually and in teams.
