Martha Saconchik-Pytel presents a discussion of “Baker’s Haulover,” a manmade inlet that was cut in 1925 near Miami Beach. Charter boat captains led fishing tours from the inlet as early as 1926. Ms. Saconchik-Pytel was the daughter of one such captain. Learn the history and importance of this industry in the development of sport fishing in south Florida.
