Barineau Heating and Air Conditioning Pays Families’ Utility Bills

Out of respect and concern for those directly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Barineau Heating and Air has paid two months of utility bills for three randomly selected Tallahassee residents affected by the coronavirus.

The residents were chosen through a Facebook campaign in which the company’s social media followers nominated neighbors, friends and family members in need. Each recipient received a check for $600.

Company president Patrick Barineau said he was motivated by the community’s response to the pandemic and wanted to give back in a small way.

‘Whether they have lost their job, had their hours cut back or continue to serve the community in their daily work, this has been a tough time for a lot of people,” Barineau said. “It’s been a blessing to know that we live in a community that has the care and compassion for each other like Tallahassee does, and we wanted to be part of that.”

Barineau said he was grateful for the response to the offer and hopes it makes a difference. “As an essential service, we are blessed to keep working through the COVID-related shut-downs,” he said. “But that has not been the case for many. We know our community will continue to work together to help each other reach the other side of this.”

Barineau Heating and Air Conditioning continues to serve Tallahassee during the COVID-19 pandemic by strictly observing CDC recommendations and local safety guidelines.
