Capital City Bank Announces Mobile Deposits for Small Businesses

New Mobile App Enables Convenient, Secure and Reliable Check Deposits

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., August 5, 2013 – Capital City Bank announces the CCBMobile Deposit app, the latest in its ever-expanding line of convenient banking tools. Providing a secure and reliable method of depositing checks anywhere and at any time, CCBMobile Deposit helps free up small business owners to spend more time building their business and less time managing their finances. The free, mobile app is supported by Android, Apple and BlackBerry devices and is available in all Capital City Bank markets.

Offered through a free, mobile application, CCBMobile Deposit enables small business clients to deposit funds remotely, whether in the office or on the road, using equipment they most likely already have. For extra flexibility, checks may also be deposited using a computer with an internet connection and a flatbed scanner.

“For our small business clients, time is a valued commodity,” said Ed West, Capital City Bank president of Leon County. “Products that help them streamline daily responsibilities like managing their finances are at the top of their must-have lists, and we’re always looking for new ways to help them work more nimbly. With CCBMobile Deposit they can deposit funds without making a special trip to an office, so they save time and money. We’re excited to be among the first of our local competitors to offer this convenience in our markets.”

To use mobile deposit, clients will enroll at www.ccbg.com/mobiledeposit and download the new CCBMobile Deposit application from the iPhone App Store, Google Play or BlackBerry App World. Once the service is activated, clients will log in to the app, choose “Deposit” and select the account to credit. To complete the simple process, clients will then enter the amount of the check, take a photo of the front and back of the check and submit. A confirmation will display once the item is received and will be e-mailed to the user. Checks deposited by 5 p.m. Eastern on weekdays will be credited the same day and can be accessed the next day (provided no hold is placed).

“The ways in which business owners interact with their bank are constantly evolving,” said Tom Allen, Virtual Banking manager for Capital City Bank. “We continue to see clients choosing channels such as mobile to manage their finances. The enhancements we’ve made since introducing mobile banking four years ago reflect this shift in client preferences and expectations.”

With the addition of remote check deposit capability, both consumer and small business clients of Capital City Bank can now perform a full range of tasks related to the daily management of their accounts quickly and easily on their mobile devices. Other mobile functionality includes viewing account balances and transaction history, paying bills, transferring money between their Capital City Bank accounts and locating the nearest Capital City Bank location or ATM.
