Tallahassee Lenders’ Consortium (TLC), BB&T, Brackenchase Builders, Capital City Bank, Regions Mortgage, Smith, Thompson, Shaw, Minacci & Colon, P.A., Sunshine Savings Bank and SunTrust Mortgage will host the 2012 Home Buyer Showcase. This event will be held at Tallahassee Community College’s (TCC) Center for Workforce Development (444 Appleyard Drive) on Saturday, June 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. TLC is looking to match prospective buyers and current homeowners with housing services as part of their NeighborWorks® Week celebration.
More than 25 exhibitors including realtors, builders, lenders and government housing providers will share information with participants about purchasing and preserving their homes. Brackenchase Builders will sponsor a Tour of Homes to and from TCC to newly constructed homes at Villas at Pine Forest. Workshops and will be held on such topics as Short Sales and Foreclosure Scams. BB&T will be teaching attendees how to read their credit reports and assess credit scores. A panel discussion entitled “A Homeowner’s Guide to Effective Community Engagement” will be hosted by the Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA).
