First Commerce Credit Union has teamed up with Madison Social to host the 3rd annual Bourbon, Bacon & Brews Social on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 6 to 9 p.m. This flavor-filled event features a flight of smoky flavored bacons along with a flight of specialty bourbons or craft beer. This year’s event benefits the FCCU Foundation supporting financial literacy in our community.
“This unique and flavorful event is part of First Commerce’s latest fundraising initiative, which will help First Commerce broaden our financial literacy efforts in our community,” said Kristin Richardson, Sr. Public Relations Specialist, who concepted the event.
The bacon flight includes Nueske’s bacon 3-ways: candied, with apple slaw and rum & coke BBQ drizzle, and topped with jalapeno and blueberry reduction. The bourbon flight option includes Elijah Craig 12 Year, Four Roses Small Batch, & Apricot Infused Bourbon. The craft beer option includes Grasslands Rising Embers IPA, Grasslands Mint Chocolate Stout, and Grasslands Horizon Line Saison. Dinner will be themed for the event and will include a stuffed bacon-wrapped pork roast with cream cheese, panko bread crumbs, jalapenos, roasted red peppers, and artichoke hearts glazed and served with a bacon and bourbon infused honey mustard, over a bed of bacon-infused green beans. Dessert is bacon ice cream rolled in a bacon brittle topped with whipped cream and caramel sauce.
Tickets can be purchased for $25, which includes a flight of bacon along with a flight of bourbons or craft beers. A reserved table with dinner and the bourbon/bacon flight is also available for $50.
