70K in 7 Days Challenge & 360° Wellness Fair

Are you up for a challenge? Could you walk or run 70,000 steps in seven days? If so, you could win some valuable prizes. Premier Health & Fitness Center is sponsoring the 70K in 7 Days Challenge for our members, colleagues and the entire community. Here’s how it works: The first 300 people who enroll will receive a free pedometer. You’ll also receive a form for logging your steps and an Aerobic Mile Chart. (This will help you convert other physical activities into miles and steps.) Beginning Saturday, June 21st, log steps taken (and steps based on other activities) each day for seven days. If you meet the 70,000-step goal, turn in your log to Premier Health & Fitness Center by 5 PM, Monday, June 30 and get a tee-shirt. Participants with 70,000 step totals will be entered into a drawing for the following prizes: first place, a three-month membership; second place, a two month membership; third place, a one month membership. (Each can be used as an extension to an existing membership or as a new membership.) To sign up and get your pedometer, come by Premier during regular business hours. Don’t need a pedometer, download the form at our web site.
To kick off the challenge, we’re hosting several exciting events on Saturday, June 21st. Beginning at 8 AM, we’ll have a brisk 2-to-4-mile walk in association with MOVE.Tallahassee.com and lead by Bob Gabordi. After the walk, we’ll offer a Wellness Fair featuring service lines from Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, complimentary chair massages, health and fitness screenings and other exhibitors. Free play Pickle ball will be available on our basketball court from 8:30-11:30. At 10:30 Leon County EMS will offer a one-hour CPR workshop. Tallahassee Fire Department will be here with a truck. Ace and Tally, the TMH Super Kids will be here, along with other fun activities for children. The day’s events will end with a Insanity group exercise class on our basketball court. If you have additional questions, please contact Wellness Coordinator, David Wheeler at 850-431-4835 or david.wheeler@tmh.org. We look forward to seeing you on June 21st. Thanks so much.
