A Civil Rights Retrospective: the Movement Through Photographs

The Florida Department of State proudly announces the program A Civil Rights Retrospective: The Movement through Photographs on Friday, June 27, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The State Archives of Florida will host the program in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act. The rotating slideshow will feature historic photographs that document important individuals and highlight critical events during the Civil Rights Movement in Florida from 1945 to 1968.
The event will feature approximately 150 images projected in a large format onto a wall. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place in the lobby of the R.A. Gray Building, 500 S. Bronough St., Tallahassee, 32399. Food and refreshments for the event are generously provided by the Friends of the State Library and Archives of Florida.
