Beyond the Gate TLH Runway Challenge

Feb. 28, the Tallahassee Regional Airport will host its TLH Runway Challenge. The event takes off with a one mile family fun run at 8 a.m., followed by the 5K race at 8:30 a.m. and the longest golf drive competition at 10 a.m. Guests are also invited to come watch the fun and experience being on the runway.
This event will benefit Honor Flight Tallahassee, a local non-profit organization committed to bringing World War II veterans to Washington, D.C., to see the memorials dedicated to their service at no cost to the veterans.
Early registration for the TLH Runway Challenge is available now through Wednesday, Feb. 25. Registration fees vary by activity and range from $10 to $35.
To pre-register or for additional information, visit FlyTallahassee.com. Pre-registrants may pick up their race packets on Thursday, Feb. 26, from 5 – 7 p.m. at Capital City Runners, located at 1817 Thomasville Road. Participants may also register on-site on race day starting at 6:30 a.m.
Parking will be available at the Compass Pointe (old terminal) parking lot, located at 3242 Capital Circle Southwest. Starting at 6:30 a.m., StarMetro will provide free shuttle service between the parking lot and the runway for event participants and spectators.
