Building Vision ft Chris Downey

AIA Tallahassee presents the inaugural speaker will be practicing architect, Chris Downey, who will speak at FAMU’s Lee Hall on Thursday, January 16th at 7pm, Free to the Public. Downey will speak on how the loss of his sight gave him a unique perspective on how people with disabilities experience the built environment. Downy shares how this life changing event reshaped his approach to design and life. Downey has been featured on the TED stage in 2013 and the TV news program 60 Minutes twice this year.
With gracious sponsors that include The Florida Lottery, Hammond Design Group, the FSU College of Fine Arts, and Prime Meriden Bank, this event will be offered free to the public. Keller has stated that “With continued support from our community, we hope to offer more speaking events like this to the Tallahassee community.”
