DINING in the DARK!

The Ninth Annual Paula Bailey “Dining in the Dark” benefit is scheduled for Sunday, October 13, 5:30-8:30 p.m., at the University Center Club! This event will raise funds to assist children and adults who are blind and visually impaired. At this unique dinner you will experience food, drink and conversation as you may never have before – without your sight! In pitch black darkness your other senses are stimulated to savor the smell, taste and texture of your dining experience. Conversation becomes more interesting, and ultimately, this experience will expand your understanding of what individuals who are blind experience throughout their lives.
We are thrilled to announce that Senator Bill Montford is serving as out Honorary Host this year! He will welcome you to the reception before dinner with the ever-popular popular basket raffle. The Leon County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team will once again wait on you with their night vision goggles. We have an exciting new menu and tactile ‘tic tac toe’ to play in the dark between courses. After dinner the Paula Bailey “Inspirational Community Member Award” will be presented by Senator Montford.
