Gulf Coast Dermatology Free Skin Cancer Screenings for Veterans

In recognition of Veterans Day, Gulf Coast Dermatology Tallahassee is honoring, and giving back to, the brave men and women who have served our nation by providing free skin cancer screenings to all veterans and active duty military personnel. The event will take place Thursday, Nov. 8, from 3 to 7 p.m. at 1350 Market Street, Suite 200.
Gulf Coast Dermatology physician Angela Bookout, D.O., will perform the screenings. Dr. Bookout’s prior experience as a dermatology resident with Bay Pines VA Healthcare System fostered her passion for those who have served in the military and inspired her efforts to honor them through this free event. By offering this service to veterans and active duty military personnel, Dr. Bookout hopes to raise awareness about skin cancer, the importance of sun protection and the need for yearly visits to the dermatologist to help prevent the disease.
Veterans and active duty military personnel may schedule their Nov. 8, free skin cancer screening appointment by calling (850) 386-3376. Gulf Coast Dermatology is located at 1350 Market Street, on the second floor of the Market Street Plaza, next to Narcissus.
