Instructor: Joan West, M.A. The libretto of George Frederick Handel’s oratorio “Messiah” is taken straight from the Bible and is an inspired witness to the claim that Jesus of Nazareth was (and is) the promised Messiah of Israel. The last class will include tickets to the 7:30pm Tuesday evening, December 3, sing-along performance of the “Messiah” at Faith Presbyterian Church. Course Number: MUS 431. Date/Time: Saturday, November 23; 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.; and Tuesday, December 3.
