INIE opens 2015 with legislative-themed training session

The Institute for Nonprofit Innovation and Excellence will kick off its spring 2015 training sessions with a legislative-themed workshop Wednesday, January 14.
“Tools for Your Toolbox: Preparing for the Legislative Session” will take place from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Tallahassee Community College Capitol Center.
The workshop will cover examples of how to take on critical public issues that appear to be intractable challenges using principled strategies that achieve better results for both the public interest and the affected private sector interests. Dominic Calabro, president and CEO of Florida TaxWatch, will present.
“Identifying relevant and timely training topics for nonprofits is a key focus of the Institute,” said Kimberly Moore, TCC vice president for workforce development and INIE board member. “We are very fortunate to be in a position to attract recognized subject matter experts to partner with us in strengthening the nonprofit sector.”
Tickets to this workshop are $25 for INIE members and $45 for nonmembers. Interested parties may register at www.theinstitutefornonprofits.com.
