The Lean Launch Pad Approach
Do you know who your customer is? Teams will be lead through evidence-based entrepreneurship utilizing the Lean Launch Pad methodology and the Business Model Canvas. The method has been taking the nation by storm; embraced by the leading entrepreneurial powerhouses including the National Science Foundation, Harvard, UC Berkley, Fortune 500 companies, as well as successful entrepreneurial communities like Chattanooga, TN. Lean Launch Pad thinking is not just for start-ups, it can be utilized in well-established companies that are evaluating a new product line/service.
Who Should Apply
This class would benefit anyone who is interested in entrepreneurship, especially cutting edge thought leadership. If you are interested in getting involved with the startup community, or looking for a startup team to join, this would be a great place to get connected. If you are an early stage company with a team, it will lead you through through market validation, and provide a connection to potentially new team members. People with or without a specific business ideas from all disciplines are encouraged to engage.
For established companies, sending a team to validate a new business vertical can be invaluable in calculating market fit. Getting out of the office and engaging in an entrepreneurial atmosphere can reset fixed mindsets and limited thinking.
Eight projects will be accepted, teams of four are ideal. If you do not have a team, apply and potentially be matched.
How to Apply
Register to attend, answer question to the best of your ability. Deadline to apply is April 30. You will be contacted and interviewed the week of May 3. Participants will be notified by May 8th of acceptance.

FAQs
Who is teaching the class?
Christine Urban, MBA, experienced entrepreneur and trainer who has been educated in this methodology by Jerry Engel, Faculty Director of the The Executive Program in Innovation at Berkley’s Haas School of Management and the Executive Director of the National Science Foundation’s I-Core Program.
What should I expect?
Participants should expect to spend about 30 minutes each week listening to lecture
Participants should expect to spend at least five hours each week outside of class conducting interviews and updating their canvases.
Participants should be ready to present their updated Business Model Canvas to the group, every second or third meeting.
Participants will purchase and familiarize themselves with Business Model Generation and the Startup Owner’s Manual
What is the refund policy?
A 100% refund will be given if canceled two weeks before event. A 50% refund will be given if canceled within two weeks of the event. 10% Refund will be given if canceled on or after the event starts. Class seats are very valuable!
