Mad City Money

Students will be transported into the future where they will have instant families, careers, and bills to pay. Teens will have lots of choices to make as they move about the stations to purchase housing, transportation, food, clothing, day care, and other necessities. The simulation also includes: a mall for “wants”; a pushy car salesperson; a commission-based realtor plus several other merchants — and “The Fickle Finger of Fate.”
“Students will stay engaged as they have to make informed and wise decisions regarding their personal finances,” said Mike Bozeman, First Florida’s regional branch director – Tallahassee branches. “They’ll be required to use their knowledge of money, math skills, and feelings about choices,” added Bozeman. “Simulations are a great way for teens to practice real life situations by assuming responsible roles, finding ways to succeed, and developing financial problem-solving skills — all in a fun, safe setting,” explained Bozeman.
First Florida Credit Union, headquartered in Jacksonville, operates several branches throughout the state of Florida.
