Nopetro's Grand Opening of New Natural Gas Fueling Station

Nopetro and Leon County Schools invite you to attend the Grand Opening of Nopetro’s new natural gas fueling station.
SPEAKERS INCLUDE:
Adam Putnam, Commissioner of Agriculture & Consumer Services
Jackie Pons, Leon County Superintendent
Jorge Herrera, CEO of Nopetro
The Grand Opening will be held at Nopetro’s 2.5-acre state-of-the-art compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station, the largest and most expansive natural gas fueling facility on the East Coast of the United States.  This effort places Florida among elite states that have infrastructure capable of delivering superior natural gas fuel to large fleet operators.
An array of CNG-fueled heavy vehicles will be on hand for the Grand Opening, where they will demonstrate just how easy it is for fleet operators to fuel their vehicles and save money. This station is the first in a planned network of Nopetro natural gas fueling stations across Florida that will enable schools, governments, businesses and the general public to make the transition to natural gas.
The new station is part of a unique public-private partnership between Leon County Schools and Florida-based Nopetro. In addition to providing a cleaner fuel source for the district, the shift of buses to natural gas will significantly reduce the district’s fuel costs.
Nopetro and Superintendent Pons will be joined at the Grand Opening by Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam, whose agency includes the Florida Energy Office. Commissioner Putnam is the state’s leader in formulating a long-term energy policy for the state.
