Big Bend Crime Stoppers (BBCS) is a non-profit effective crime solving organization in the Big Bend area. With the help of law enforcement agencies, the community and the media, we aim to prevent and fight undesirable and illegal activities from occurring in our community. Our organization provides four means of communication for the public to anonymously provide information (tips) to law enforcement agencies.
BBCS has been around since the 1980s. We are a well-recognized and loved organization in our community. In the last year, BBCS has solved thousands of felony crimes and recovered virtually thousands of dollars in stolen merchandise. We have received more than 1538 tips last year which equates to 116 arrests and 511 cases cleared. BBCS has expanded tremendously.
We now have a partnership with Channel 27 which airs our television show, “Big Bends’ Most Wanted.” We also enjoy a partnership with Cumulus radio stations 98.9FM, 104.1FM, 96.1FM and 102.3FM to air our new program “Crime Stoppers Most Wanted”.
