The Tallahassee Community Chorus Presents: O Fortuna!

Our 29th season opens with two lively works: Polovetsian Dances by Alexander Borodin and Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. Based on medieval poems, both of these works have modern appeal, with portions popularized in musicals and commercials. Travel with the Chorus, soloists and orchestra from 12th century Russia, the camp of the Polovetsians, who dance and sing in praise of their leader, the Khan, to medieval Germany where the songs turn to the caprice of Fortune, the celebration of spring and the pleasures of love, drink and gambling. A fun evening of great music awaits!
