Farrukh Alvi, Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Programs at FAMU-FSU College of Engineering will talk about the research going on in Tallahassee supporting the Aerospace and Aviation fields. Over the last decade Mr. Alvi has attracted well over $20 million in external funding for research, development and STEM education. His research has been funded by government agencies, such as the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), NASA, National Science Foundation (NSF), Office of Naval Research (ONR), DARPA, Army Research Office (ARO) and industry, such as Boeing, Northrup Grumman and Danfoss Turbocor, among others.
