The Figure as Vehicle to open in TCC’s art gallery

Tallahassee Community College’s Fine Art Gallery will host an opening reception for an exciting new art exhibit next week.

“The Figure as Vehicle” will open for public viewing at the reception Thursday, October 9, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Fine & Performing Arts Center.

Artists Marsha de Broske and John Carollo will fill the gallery with two- and three-dimensional works. De Broske, a sculptor, and Carollo, a watercolorist, theme their creations in the use of the human form as an artistic statement.

“‘The Figure as Vehicle’ is going to be one of Tallahassee’s most exciting exhibits this season,” said Barbara Cohenour, TCC arts events coordinator.

The exhibit will run from October 9 to December 11. The gallery is open from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
