Get Out and Vote! November 8

As the longest-serving business support organization in the region, we are a powerful influence for community growth and a thriving economy. The Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce has more than 1,200 members representing over 60,000 employees in our community. We closely monitor the issues affecting local business and champion efforts for those that matter most to our members.

Prior to the primary elections, we surveyed local candidates running for office and provided a voter election guide for our Chamber membership. Underpinned by the Chamber’s guiding principles and using our Community Scorecard as a guide, we had a clear understanding of where candidates stand on issues like job growth, quality of life, education systems and more.

With the general election next week, we offered our candidates a unique opportunity to speak to the public in a format that hasn’t been done before. The Tallahassee Chamber Candidate Podcast episodes are direct responses from each candidate on the same three questions: Why they chose to run, what they see as the biggest challenge facing our community, and their top three priorities. The episodes are brief and are not designed to tell you who to vote for, but rather to make sure voters are educated and well versed going to the polls. We hope you will take the time to listen to each episode to learn more about our candidates and most importantly, get out and vote.
